NyMpha

NyMpha (play trailer)

Synopsis:
Sarah is a young American who goes to Italy to take vows needed to become a cloister nun of the "New Order" Convent. The rules of the convent are so strict that they are often considered a form of torture. Sarah's path is divided into four steps, "hear" the Lord, "see" the Lord, "touch" the Lord and "talk" with the Lord…

Each step will be painful for both Sarah's physical and mental self. Moreover, during Sarah's journey, she often has visions of the Convent’s past - visions that it was the house of a young girl named NyMpha…

“NyMpha is so drenched in Catholic guilt that it made me want to confess - and I’m an Anglican agnostic. I thought Nympha was wonderful. It’s Zuccon’s most thoughtful and mature film to date; the violence is limited and controlled, the characters are fascinating and fully rounded, the oppressive air of religious fervour is cloying and grim. Powerful, powerful stuff.” -- Mike J. Simpson: http://www.mjsimpson.co.uk

“If Nympha is any indication of even a fraction of Zuccon’s abilities I expect great things for the future of Italian horror! So, yeah, Nympha, in this reviewer’s opinion, was spectacular.“ -- Brian Harris: joehorror.com

“This film dives into the deepest waters of religious fanaticism. I was glued to the screen and horrified just knowing that the acts depicted in this story is not far away from reality. Zuccon is a very talented filmmaker with a radiant vision and I can’t wait to see more.” -- Michelle Fatale: horror-fanatics.com

“Stylish and at times very fresh, serving up just the right amount of just atmosphere and interest. NYMPHA is just another notch in the evolution of Ivan Zuccon’s master plan, there is certainly much more to come.” -- Steve Genier - cinema-nocturna.com
