"The latest film by new horror master John Lechago is fortunately one of the better movies to come around in this complicated genre. There are a lot of fantasy based horror flicks around flooding the genre film festivals and DVD releases. It is rare that one comes along with enough dedication and talent to actually be interesting. It is reassuring that some film makers are still trying to extend their mastery of the art of cinema instead of cashing in for a quick buck or two." Home Theater Info DVD Review

Mr. Boffo extended description play trailer

Synopsis:
Joe Martin thinks his world-record 30,000 comics are already funny on paper but the syndicated cartoonist has now turned out a feature-length animated comedy. “Mr. Boffo” follows the life & times of the beloved Earl (Mister) Boffo character – who has appeared in the funny papers for the past 25 years.

Stan Lee, the co-creator of most of Marvel Comics’ major characters including Spiderman, knows a thing or two about using comics and movies to appeal to fans. He thinks Martin’s animation strategy is the wave of the future.

“People want to look at a moving picture, whether it’s live action or animation. Add music and a voice and you’re watching a mini-movie,” Lee said. “I think it’s great.”

The 2000 Guinness Book of Records named Martin the world’s most prolific cartoonist. He produces more than 1,300 comics each year.
